Good evening all
Here are a few notes about stuff happening at CP….
Christmas Party – Dec 7th
We’ve already sold 23 of the 40 seats available for our annual Christmas Party. Best sign up soon if you are keen. Friends, family and significant others welcome! $15 per head plus a pot luck dish. Contact Susan spennerdavis@shaw.ca to let her know if you want to contribute an appetizer, veggie, salad or desert.  Let me know if you hope to attend and if you wish to participate in the fun $10 gift exchange.
Do you like decorating? We’ll need a crew to dress up the room and tree in holiday style beforehand. Volunteers to help with 50/50 and door prizes would be nice too.

World Cribbage Championship
Congratulations to Stew M & Robby R for capturing the coveted Lucky Swan trophy Saturday night at the Club…. defeating Mark C & Wally in an exciting final. Reigning champions Kevin & Joanne B fought off a stiff challenge from the team of Stew A & Florence Mc to take the consolation prize. (whom went undefeated in pool play) We had a full room of players ranging in ages and abilities. Thanks to my darling wife, Karen for keeping everyone well oiled.

Committees
Your newly elected Board held our first meeting last week. The prime purpose being to confirm the Chairs of the various Committees charged with running our programs and maintaining Club facilities. They are:

House&Property – Chris Percival-Smith
Greens & Gardens – Lorne Carnes
Games & Activities – Harry Walker
Communications – Ian Kewley
Lessons – Norm Malkoske
Equipment – Mark Planiden
Finance & Fundraising – Ian Jesney

I’ve compiled a draft list of the various tasks these Committees oversee. Some are small… others more involved. Once we’ve had a chance to flesh them out I’ll post on our Club website. We will be looking for many helping hands on each.

Laptop
Our Club laptop is getting a little long in the tooth. Treasurer Margaret is hoping to find a replacement capable of running her bookkeeping program. Does anyone have a used one they might be willing to donate? Must be a PC, RAM capacity of 8GB or more,15” with USB ports and power supply. (that’s the power cord for charging).

Stop bothering me!
These weekly notes are being sent to all members of the Club… both Social and Regular. If you would prefer I stopped bothering you please let me know.
Thanks,
Lorne Carnes, PresidentCanadian Pacific Lawn Bowling Club
