Learn to bowl!

Members of the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling and Croquet Club are keen to introduce downtown residents to the sport of lawn bowling with three free, easy lessons.

Our introductory classes will show you how to deliver good bowls consistently, to throw and centre a jack, organize the head and how to score points. We’ll also explain the basic rules of the various games and how to set up and take down a rink. Each lesson usually takes between 1 and 1 1/2 hours. Our Club provides all the equipment, but players must wear flat-soled shoes which will not damage the lawn. Wear comfortable clothes.

The availability of the lawn for class sessions depends partly on the Club’s current schedule. Contact the lessons coordinator to tell us you’re interested, and we’ll figure out a time that’ll work best for you.

Classes will begin when a group is ready to learn. Bring your own group — it’s more fun that way
